Corflu 13 - An appreciation.

Where's Lucy? - not so much a conrep, more a random collection of personal reminiscences.

Five people called Al*n, that's not too many.

When Geri Sullivan was showing her photos of Intersection shouting, in concert with Lucy, "That's not Jim Barker!". Of course when document was passed across table for us to identify we had to sheepishly admit it was. "He must have lost weight", I mumbled.

Leaving the smoking con suite on Friday night to go to other room to get some brew, passing Geri just outside on service stairs who asked if I was in search of beer and had two bottles open and ready for me and Peter Roberts.

Getting lost twice in Bill Bodden's car. Once we went along all 3 other turnings of a crossroads we came to (at least one twice!), and again on the way back from Shiloh, but I saw plenty of Nashville and we never panicked.

Being informed by Patrick that I was the most American of The Chicken Brothers.

Ken Josephans saying as he gave me his fanzine, "I'm giving this to everybody ....".

Watching Andy Hooper slam the table and storm out of 'The Royal Thai' (possibly the worst eatery in the world) as our starter arrived despite the fact we'd arrived half hour later than his party.

Standing outside restaurant as Frank Lunney laughed hilariously, sucking deeply on his 'waccy baccy', as a waiter quit.

Telling Spike Parsons the last time I played baseball was at a Silicon, and she remembered more about it than I did from reading subsequent reports.

At said baseball game actually hitting the ball with the bat, and getting to first base, although I did take the bat with me (too much playing cricket in school!). Thanks for the loan of the glove Moshe.

Introducing myself to rich brown, who is more succinct in person.

Duvets and planks. The Purb Of Lurve. The shrunken head of a restaurant manager, corsetry, and Gary Farber and Pam Wells 'playing chess' in their room all night!

Enough, tho' there's plenty more, thanks to everybody who ensured I had a wonderful time ....
